Dojo Loach Relaxing

I have recently found my dojo loach hanging out on top of the thermometer. I keep thinking its dead but when I put in food he's as lively as ever. Is this normal or should I be concerned?

Its fine. Mine likes to chill there or near the top of the filter intake.
