Guys i know that in a fish tank, there is always some aggresion due to territorial issues or the establishment of a pecking order or hierarchy.

Does this same principle apply to koi in a koi pond? Wanted to hear some views and opinions for this. Thanks.

There is no true aggression among koi. However somtimes larger koi push others out of the way in their rush to be first to their food. And somtimes small koi are afraid of any larger fish.

Exactly i find that my biggest koi are the biggest l, because they are first to get to food. I find smaller koi hiding most the time under water falls etc, thats why i like to grow them to at least foot then add them to the pond when ready. No aggression seen ever, they are very peaceful, and some peaceful giants.
