As of late my male Kenyi (who was previously the alpha male) has become skittish and passive, I've caught him hiding up near the filter a few times as well. The really confusing part to me is that now his female counter part has been bullying the tank around. She used to be quite passive and at the bottom of the chain, but now is more aggressive than the male had ever been. The male's stripes have become quite pronounced while her stripes are often non-existant.
