Hey fellow fishkeepers, IF everyone sees this and is willing to donate me a dollar, I would be able to afford a 75g and maybe get some cool fish for it. Any kind people here are willing to contribute to the cause?

Well, we have tens of thousands of members on this site. So if they ALL see your request, and kindly donate, then your name, rich, will be quite apt, lol.

Sorry, I'm on credit myself. Lol, that's what I tell almost everyone who asks me for money. I'm not sure where you are, but here in SoCal, everyone is hiring.

How do you plan on maintaining a 75gal if you have to crowdfund the tank itself? Or it would be a lot of funding. I have spent a good amount of money on my 75 over the years replacing lights, treating fish etc.

nope not in socal, i tried to get a job but ppl are not hiring.
I don't know where you are from but I find that astonishing. I have 3 jobs and I know all 3 would probably hire you for one position or another. The lfs I work at extremely part time offered me $2 more an hour to be able to work their more often this weekend. I was in 2 other lfs this weekend that also asked if I'd want to come work for them, they can't find help . I'd have to quit my other part time job to help my lfs. Might be nice to only work 2 jobs. I could get you off the top of my head 3 other jobs probably starting today in 3 other fields. May not be exactly what you want to do but it'd be money coming in. Right now where I live if you don't have a job it's because you don't want one.

^ I agree completely with this. What exactly does it mean when you say that you "tried" to get a job? The implication seems to be that you looked for a day or a week, didn't find what you wanted, and then gave up. If you actually want a job, you wouldn't have "tried"...you would continue trying until you found one, and as stated above, they are out there.

I reserve charity for people who need it, for food or medical care or other essentials. Saying "I can't find a job but I really, really want a big fish tank, or a TV or a car or whatever, so please give me money!" won't impress too many people.

I’ve been trying to get a job for months even before I joined the forum and no one is hiring around here. Not younger people anyway. Only way a younger person like myself can get a job is if it’s a family business like helping my cousin with his business after my papaw retires this year or if you’re lucky enough you might be able to wash dishes at a goldstar but they don’t pay much but it would be better than nothing. To everyone not in Cincinnati Ohio I feel so bad for you that you’ve never experienced goldstar their food is heavenly. C Cincycichlids should know what I’m talking about ?. But yea ever since the COVID times no where is hiring a younger audience unless it’s family business.
