Done with your old DIY, Don't through it out.

I took out the dual DIY overflow in my 55 gallon, was going to throw it out, but thought I should keep it. Today I put it good use, I used it to put an overflow in my sump to prepare for a drip system.

Then I had the good idea why waste 1.5 overflow for just a drip system, so I stuck a T on it, and ran a pipe close to the top of the tank. This way when I gravel vac I can drain stright to the overflow drain.

very nice! i still have back up filters from 2 years ago. I dont throw things out very frequently. and that drip sytem sounds very nice.

I have everything I need for the drip system, but its going on a planted tank, that I am dosing using EI dosing method. So I am waiting for feed back on possible problems with EI with a Drip system.
