Dont know if he is dying?!?!?! new to catifish!!!

OK! my cat fish is at the shallow end of the pond and it looks like he wants to get out of the water or somethin he keeps moving into the rocks wegging him self in there, at first i thought he was dead (wegged inbettween the rocks) so i poked him and he started moving. and all he does is try to move into the rocks more idk why!??!?!?!? he is a pignious catfish am not sure if i splled that right, but can someone please help??! he is about 3" (in a 500 gallon pond) and i had another one in there but he just flipping disapreaed!!!!!!!! Everything before this Happened: I bought them yesterday, put them in around 11:00, noticed some algea so i ran back to petshop grabbed some Apple Snails and put them in, went out 6:00pm-12:00am, came home relized the i forgot to put on the net over the pond, so i just decied its late lemme just throw it over, most of it was just floating on the water and before i put the net in they were swiming perfectly and what not... i kinda think this is normal cuz i saw them do this when they where in the bag but idk am new to these guys someone please help!!!

sounds like they need a hiding place and are trying to find the tightest spot to squeeze into

i have hiding spots and now he siwms into the middle of the pond a swims up to the top trying to eat the ege of the water, i gave him food but he didnt do anything he just swam by it, he is not swiming normal or with controll cuz sometimes he goes near the waterfall and he accedently goes under it and gets spun and stuff
