Dont know if I'm happy or not?

I just bought what I thought was a King Kong Parrot. It was labled as such at the pet store, and I asked if he was 100% sure it was a KKP and he said yes. After researching and researching KKP vs. regular blood parrots I dont know what to think. The one I bought has a nice red to him, has a regular looking cichlid mouth , and it is closed. The only thing that I have doubts on is the head still looks kind of like a regular parrot not as rounded(or sloped like a KKP is suposed to have). But he is still small maybe 2.5-3.0 inches. Will he grow into more of a sloped head or is it a dead giveaway, just not sure anyone have any info on this? Please help, kinda of excited, but kinda bumbed at the same time. Thanks
 
If you have that coming across your mind, then you aren't happy with the fish you have for sure. On another hand, there will always be one fish better than the other when it comes to hybrid. :D
 
so what would you say about the difference and similarities I explained, is there still a chance that it is a KKP?
 
Its my understanding that KKP's have closed mouths and have less of the head shape of a regular BP. I'm pretty sure yours is a KKP, just not a high grade KKP.

Looks like a BP with a better mouth only. Keep in mind that just because they can close their mouth doesn't mean they are KKP.
 
Sorry, It was my first time posting pictures, and I definitly need to do some algae scrubbing. This is a temp home before I get a 120g. Keep in mind hes a lot smaller than the picture suggests. So what do you guys think, King Kong or Regular?
