Please help me save my 13" pictus! I used clout on the entire tank for 4-5 days to rid the tank of HLLE, and now, the pictus looks like his barbells are rotting off, and his eyes are all cloudy. Check the pics:

Anyways, they keep getting shorter and shorter and he acts weirder and weirder. Anyways, can this be fixed by pimafix or melafix or pimafix/melafix combination? I don't know what to use. Thanks!

Clout seems to work well on internal protozoan and parasitic infestations but, not so well on external infestations. HITH and LLE seem to react better to treatment with Metronidazole at 250mg to 500mg per 10gal for advanced cases. and 250mg per 20gals for light or onset cases. Treatment for either disease takes up to 2 weeks to kill the infesting organisms and then can take months to completely granulate new tissue in the holes.
I've seen Clout use result in this same type of damage in other cases. The medication seems to cause burn-like symptoms to species that have small scales or are scaleless. Of course, Siluridae whiskers are scaleless.
It would probably benefit the cat to perform a couple of large water changes to dilute the Clout. Then, if further medicating is indicated, treat with Metronidazole. It's highly effective yet, doesn't harm fish like my clown loaches, lungfish, etc.

So I don't put any medications in with him for what he has now? Just let nature take it's course? I've already done 3 large 50% water changes (1 per day) since I quit the clout.

He's swimming around on the front of the tank like the gravel hurts him and his barbels are almost to his face now. Is there anything I should put in with him? I did several water changes and they didn't seem to help. I just don't want him to die, he has sentimental value to me...

I also think that this is a reaction to the formalin in the clout, Since you have already done several water changes about all you can do is add a dose of Melafix and maybe 1 tbs. salt per 5 gallons to sooth the skin, speed cell recovery, and lessen the chances of infection.

I think he's going to die...he keeps rotting away, no fins now hardly, and he just lays on his back. I don't know what to put in with him to save him now, and he's just getting worse...
