On my previous post, I said that my idiot friend was over feeding is silver aro, 2 oscars and 1 jardini and the tank wasn't cycled so there was a big ammonia spike. The silver aro, 2 oscars died but the jardini looked and acted fine. I put him in a quarantine tank until his original tank finishes cycling. I put him in my 55 gallon cycled tank while the original tank cycles. The funny thing is that the jardini is still eating like a champ and I put in 3 angel fish and 2 bala sharkswhile I get my tank cycled. In 1 hour, the eyes of the angel fish and 2 bala sharks eyes started to cloud up and the fins started to come apart like the 55 gallon quarantine tank was full of ammonia. Took the angels to a friends tank that he was using for his own tank of angels and they got better. I checked the ammonia in the quarantine tank and there was a trace of ammonia but really not much. I'm wondering what's going on. The Jar is still looking healthy and is eating like a champ so what happend to the angels and bala sharks?
Besides the tank of my idiot friend, all of the other tanks have been established, water changed once a week and parameters checked. I put the angels and bala sharks in another established tank and they healed. Are Jardinis that tough. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
