A couple of years ago I had a tank of a about 20 or so guppies. they all had babies at roughly the same time and the online video said that they would survive with a little cover. So i left the rearing tank pretty bare (few logs and caves). and the adults killed them all because they couldn't fit all the babies in their stomachs there were dead babies floating around the tank. Soon the ammonia levels rose and my all guppies (which i had bred for generations) were all dead.
