Don't put gt's in a pond

I had about 2 dozen nice gt growouts that where 2-3" in size i put them in a 125 gal pond just for the summer to beef them up. Well gt's are jumpers and during the night 16 hopped out of the pond and they where the biggest prettiest one's just some runts left in the pond now. Lesson learned gt's jump don't try to keep them in a pond or tank without a top.

Odd that the larger ones jumped.. I'd almost expect the small ones to be the first to off themselves.

But that's a damn hard loss!

Yeah i figured the biggger gt's would chase the smaller making them jump out but i guess they where scared and stressed and wanted their glass box back. There is 1 big guy left i think he is the best of the bunch and 2 good size females they have begun to spawn.
