Well I came home to something really awful.

My tank housing my (maybe) platinum jardini seemed to be leaking. I obviously freaked out as I've already flooded my neighbors once (last week! yay!) and there's some expensive fish in there. The sump was pumping air up, and if I hadn't had a can on the tank as well I don't know that my fish would have survived.

AAAANYWAY, turns out a cascade internal filter I'd put in there to increase surface air exposure had completely tilted cause the back suction cups gave out, and it was shooting water out the hole its power chord came through. So my wall behind the tank is ruined and if I can't play this off as being residual of the last flood, I'm going to be in some major major crap.

THANKS CASCADE!!!!!!!!!

Did I mention my downstairs neighbor is a sweet 90 year-old who doesn't deserve any of this? No? Well now I did.

THANKS.

(also today: the wheels and all the gear were stolen off my bike and I found out that the jardini might well not be platinum. I'm walkin' on sunshine.)

As an update, it was dripping through TWO neighbors ceilings. Great. This was a $30 filter that caused this damage. That I got as an afterthought.

Today is horrible.

bad things come in threes and once you finish your three your good for awhile

Hi Ben. Can't help smiling about how you cheered "YAY!" for having flooded the poor 90 yr old lady's place who doesn't deserve it. Bad charma may be cause of this string of bad luck. lol!

With me, my arros tend to jump out during the night only for me to find them crispy in the morning. This has happened several times. Get them at around 3 inches & they'll jump out at about a foot long. Have resorted to silver arros now....cuz they're much cheaper. This time, started with 3 silver ones...only have one left. Can you guess what happened with the other 2? Each time I thought I secured the lid to my 150 gal tank, failed again & again. These guys love to jump. Tank is downstairs & I can't hear them at night.

Well, my one & only silver arro is about 20 inches & not as jumpy...thank goodness.

Lesson learned...I don't know how else to secure the lids of my tank. Thicker glass lid perhaps.
