dont trust cheap heaters

hi everyone

setting up yet another new tank today
had everything but a heater.
lucky i hoard things
found one i got of ebay 5 months ago in my spare parts cupboard
hooked it all up kicked back to let it cycle
being the impatient person i am decided to fiddle around with the decor
stuck my hand in the water got jolts of electricity up my arm, from the cheap ass heater
lesson learned dont trust cheap heaters!

ive had heaters break. i've also had them get so ht, they burn my plecos!

Yeah, I bought a cheap heat for my 10g tank. It went berserk and the temp went up to 90+ degrees yet some how the cory cat's survived. Those cats are tough.

imo there arent to many heaters out there that you can completly trust even some of the expensive ones
