Hope you can return it for another. Just the fact you had to go through the hassle stinks, though.
 
how about buying a filter, getting it home, and opening it up and realizing it was used and came pre-colonized with tons of crusted over fish waste and god knows what else??.

try explaining that one to the manager at the LFS
 
Grrrrrr.....happened to me several times at PetsMart. It never fails that the filter floss cartridge, impellor or something is missing. I think people do it on purpose instead of just buying the extra they need.
 
wow that really does suck. Its never happened to me but damn that blows.
 
THat does suck, you'd think they'd check before putting it on the shelf. I think it's kinda funny that you got a UV sterilizer for graduation lol, but maybe that's just me
 
This is because Petsmart has the most lenient return policy ever, they don't require reciepts or even check the item your returning. I've seen cichlid gold there that's been opened and even had a good amount of it missing.
