dorado and aro compatibility?

Has anyone kept a golden dorado with a silver or black aro with any success? I'm thinking about switching my tank to an amazon theme with rays, niger, dorado, aro and possibly something else. Thoughts?

how big is your tank?

i am keeping an aro and a dodo together.......it works, but tank size(not just volume) might play a big part farther down the road.

Uhhh, not recommended. It might work for now, wait till that dorado hits its mature stage. It will claim the tank to itself, they are not mild aggressive fish. How do I know, well...let's say I can go see them anytime I want. And 3 live in a 1000 gal.

Oh no, don't get the idea wrong. They are not mine, they are a cousin of mine. As far as I ask from him, no tank mates unless your space is necessary. For a 750G, 2 would be max for your tank if your 750G is going to be it's permanent home. They get well over 35" for maximum growth. And they need lots of swimming space, these fish are all speed and power. If they feel crowded, they will start killing for space, especially a species that is not one of its own.
