What would everyone pick here out of the two ? Tigrinus or dorado ?

I love em both

Tigrinus are too damn shy though, the rouseauxii especially the golden ones are beautiful and not as shy as the tigrinus

Interesting. Is this first hand experience based on your juvenile fish?

My experience is the exact opposite. That's why I am wondering.

I have two of them and they are always up front and begging for food.

If not dancing at the front of the tank, they are swimming around.

I have seen people grow them to monster sizes.
