Dorado questions

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
1. would depend on ALOT of things.dorado are AGGRESSIVE.
what species of lungfish and arowana?
i personally wouldnt risk it with the lungfish.
arowana...would depend what species.
normally i wouldnt do it with only those 3 fish in the tank...the secret is well,LOTS OF FISH.
that way dorado wont pick on JUST ONE GUY.

2. biggest ive seen was around 2.5 feet.
i think they can get much bigger in captivity...just never seen the pics to prove it.

With a big aro and a big lung most likely yes just make sure to have dithers

It will depend on how aggressive the dorado is though some are Agressive twords certain fish others twords all fish and some are relativly peaceful

Expect dorado to get 2' in captivity more likely around 3' possibly bigger

SA Lungfish and SA Arowanas.

And no, there are going to be more fish in the tank.

Do yours nip at the Pleurophthalma, PBass, and ATF?

it will definitely attack your lungfish's worm-like fins.
mine attacked EVERYTHING at first.
but now all is good only slight chasing.
but thats because theres too many fish to pick on just one.

anything fast moving and robust, and lots of them.

E.g Pacu, Piranha, SDs (bigger types), Huge agro cichlids would give em a run for there money (as long as they ARE huge)

no pacu...too big and very rowdy IMO.
no piranhas...thats just stupid.
SDs,sure...
aggro cichlids, would work except with the all out killers like dovii....with those, somethings gonna die.
