Is there anything that can safely live with my 15" Dorado? He as an attitude. I don't want to risk any of my fish so if he has to stay alone that is cool.
I wouldn't trust him with anything unless it was a huge 700 gallon tank plus and the new fish was bigger that it. Overall I would just leave him alone in a tank by himself.
I have my 13 inch Dorado with some very large silver dollars. The Dorado bites a bit of their tail but that is about it. The silver dollars stay in the corner. Smaller silver dollars will be a snack thou. Also I have some large green severums, TSN catfish and a pike cichlid with the Dorado also.
dorados are a problem. I would go for cichlas (tucunarés), catfishes, or arowanas, or basically anything that eats live fish too and, are carnivores, grow big & would not be bullied by the dorado.
think of fish that have an attitude, like oscars, polypterus, etc...
Mine's about 18". Lives in a 220 with a pair of Green aros, couple gar, Irwini cat, polys and a CK. Only thing he bothers is the Ck (occasionally) and he really didn't like the SA lungfish I had in there. Definitely a troublemaker though, he's always mouthing the other fish...
