Putting on more heft and perhaps slight length since it began taking small frogs and catfish besides superworms.

Both sides of its face are getting almost full "golden". Pretty surprised by its development despite being only 13-14 inches. The direct sunlight to the tank most probably played a role.

Apologies for the mobile pics - they really swim non stop most of the time! LOL!

What size tank is that?

I was thinking of picking up a dorado to add to me 180g with the aimara but worried it will shorten the time period the 180 will last and that he will do damage to the aimara.

Colored up nice!

It's about 300 gallon (6x2x3) with another 200 gallon as sump. Greenerinks has tried an Aimara and Dorado combo before but the Dorado did some serious damage to the Hoplias.

I have 4 wolves in that tank but they cohabited pretty ok at the moment.

Awsome tank man. Loving that pluero.

Thanks man. :)

Great color on him. How is he with his tank mates?

Pretty oke with everyone there. He likes to chase and swim with the tinfoils most of the time. The red aro kept everyone well behaved.

Brasi seem to be ok with tankmates while frankies aren't. Problem is brasi are rare, and everyone labels frankies as brasi. If you can locate and ID a brasi I say go for it, your end tank should be large enough, don't think I've seen a brasi more than 3' they just get thicker. And they know there tank boundaries so the tank will be fine I'd say, wouldn't say they're the fastest growers either. DB has had his for a while, don't think they hit 20" yet.

Here's hoping to another update on Robert the dorado from DBjunkie. :)

I had gone thru his growth thread and admired the pics at least twice now. LOL!
