Would like to hear experiences.......

There will be plenty of space. Golden Dorado is 8 inch. Would like to keep with smaller rays (6-8 in).

My initial thought is that it shouldn't be a problem with ample room since they are native to eachother right? But would like some input from anyone that's tried it........

I have a 20" dorado with some 12-14" rays and he is ok. He is the most aggressive fish I have ever owned and I really deep down do not trust him 100% but that being said I have never seen him bite any ray. Sometimes when the rays go darting around the pond he will chase after them and come close but never bites. I only have him cause I have owned this fish since 2" and he is BAD ASS no joke. I will get some pictures of him and post later. I also never put any fingers in the tank and I have two nets over the top cause more then three times he has chewed thru the first net and jumped out of the tank.

Oh boy....... What did I do? LOL.

You have yours with any other fish (besides rays) Mike?

Other fish lol your crazy he would destroy anything else you put in the tank. When customer walk past the pond he's in he charges toward them at the surface and darts around all pissed.

They must get mean at a certain point...... This one is currently housed with 2 Scombs..... Has been for months.....

So, did I get lucky and end up with a nice kitty...... Or is this just a case of Jekyll and Hyde that developes later down the road and I will come home one day to all the Armatus shredded?

Known to be aggressive later in life OR strickly dependent on individual specimen?

Thank you for your insight...... I appreciate it.

I used to keep mine with all types of fish, he always hated any type of bass and as he got older anything else you put in with him. He will not kill for fun of it but he will chase and bully any other fish in tank except for rays and gars.

my buddy had one in a pond with his rays... fast nasty sob but we dont think it bothered any of the rays...
