DORADO?

I agree with Armac.

I could have just sold all my fish when the ticking timebomb 300 went bad and technically it "Would have worked" but I don't buy fish then flip them when the novelty wears off. The only fish I can remember selling besides rays were some Dorado. I had no desire to keep a Dorado only tank when I'm limited to just a few tanks here. Dorado were removed one by one but no matter what my Armatus had nipped fins. Removed all of them and problem solved. In the future when I have the room I may possibly try another shoal, but there's always the thought of how much food a big shoal of 2 foot Dorados are going to eat..... That to me is a scary thought.

10 inches is about when my Dorado started getting mean.

Mya I'm sure is on the right track by keeping a large # of them. I know Mad ness had success keeping a large numbered shoal as well. Maybe my shoal wasn't big enough, maybe I didn't cram enough fish in my tank, who knows. Maybe it boils down to interpretation by the keeper as to what actually "works" and what does not.

Watch the classifieds. There's one named Hannible out in the Chicago area getting passed around. Needless to say apparently he isn't playing nice. Around 15 inches right now. He was the destroyer of my shoal. Probobly have the chance at buying him here again pretty soon.

If you're really gonna keep it solo it shouldn't matter if it's named or not.....

Am I not the only one out there that only names a fish after a catastrophe or fatality?

I guess it will just have to come back here then after he wears out his welcome everywhere else.
