Please can someone help, My local maidenhead aquatics has some Doryicthys martensii that i am very interested in (it was love at first sight). The problem being i went away to do research on the "Freshwater Pipe Fish" to find very limited info on them, the young lady in the shop was very helpful and was more then willing to show me that they are accepting frozen foods but she too has had very little luck acquiring any info on them, SO... can anyone tell me are they a true freshwater fish? or will they in time need a brackish environment and are they easy to sex as i would like to buy a pair

Do some research on "longsnouted pipefish" and you´ll find more info.
It´s a true freshwater fish from Eastern Asia (indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand). Keep them in a heavily planted (peaceful) aquarium. And iIf the ones in the shop are already accepting frozen food, that´s really good!
