Do's and Dont's of a Pond Build

Hi guys

I've only ever had indoor aquariums but I'm currently building a house and want to get a little advice on building an outdoor pond. I have no experience in this department and wanted to see what tips y'all had to give before I begin my project. It's going to be a large pond btw, hopefully to house a couple of catfish

Most people who build a pond wish they would have built a bigger one. Also make sure your pond has a bottom drain. It will make maintenance much easier.
