I have had a frogspawn for about 6 months now but haven't seen any real growth in it. My Polyanthids, zooanthids, kenya tree and xenia have all expanded but not the frogspawn. Should I be dosing the tank? I don't have a reef test kit to see what calcium and stuff is, buts its only one head. I didn't think it would take enough from the water to matter, but maybe I'm wrong... Thoughts?

Well i have the saltwater test kit for ph, nitrites, nitrates and ammonia... I just lack the test kit for testing reef minerals. I was just curious since my tank isnt like full of coral wpuld they even pull enough chemicals from the water... I'll pick up a test kit later this week

Well I was given a routine dosage scedraul to do every day based on kent products. However I haven't started it mainly because I'm worried if my skimmer is going to go into over drive and take out 10 gallons of water....like last time lol

dont dose anything you dont test for and contrary to prior advice, you absolutely can have too much calcium. Test your water, if all levels are right then perhaps you dont have the right lighting.

Test before you start adding stuff.
Also, test for phosphates. Phosphates will slow the growth of stoney corals significantly.
