I need to make a double 55g stand but can find any plans that I like. I need a simple double 55g stand made of 2x4's and have the bottom of the bottom tank about 24" off the ground, so in the future if I want I might put some 15g down on bottom. Here is a simple example I made in ms paint. I'm not to great with building stuff so I need detailed plans.

Do you have a Cosco membership? Or maybe know someone that does? They have some industrial type shelves that are beefy enough to hold two 55g tanks and then some.

Free is always good. Grab some paper and start drawing some designs to work out your own custom stand. Make sure that every horizontal member is supported on each end by a vertical. You also need to have a single vertical on each corner from the floor all the way to the top. All of the other support verticals and horizontals should be screwed to this single vertical. Do not use nails in the stand; they loosen and the stand will become wabbly.

One more thing. The stand needs to be braced to counter latteral forces. Either cross members or plywood sheeting will do.

I made one to hold a 110 on top and a 55 underneath

I would post pics but the gallery wont load for me for some odd reason

the gallery has been hosed most of the day today. On the page that you write a new post, below the 'Submit Reply' button is the "Additional Options" section. The second group is "Attach Files"; in that is the 'Manage Attachments' button. Click that to upload your picture. It will put it at the bottom of your post (if there is a way to move it in the post, I don't know about it).
