this could have been awful: I bought six fishes on-line, 2 port cichlids and 4 ram cichlids. they arrived today, and I did the rams first, counting all four and putting them in their tank, no problem
then I did the ports; I netted one, then the other. but as I was pouring the bag of dark-blue bag water down the sink, what do I see but a 3rd port cichlid, going into the sink and right down the drain
luckily, he went into the garbage disposal, so he didn't disappear into the pipes. . . I got him out (barely; try sticking your hand in a disposal, finding a fish in the dark, and then pull him out while making a fist) and into the tank, safe and sound
anyway, like I said, sometimes an on-line seller with throw an extra fish in the bag, and I should have been more aware . . .
