Double Rack for two 6ft tanks

Hi All,
I'm looking to build a 6ft long double stand soon for my 125G and 75G Long (72"×18"×13"). I'd like to put the 75G on the bottom and the 125G on top since it's more of a show tank. I watched a video on TedsfishRoom.com with the 2x4s and dado cuts. Would that same design work for 2 6ft tanks? Would I just need to swap the horizontals to 2x6? Or will it still not work?
 
Wednesday has a really sweet double stack 125 setup for sale you should look it up. Great price and a solid stand setup. Would be a great buy.

Have you thought of going "metal"? I know it tends to be more expensive than wood but it really does the trick. I have two 180G tanks, (6'x2'x2') stacked one above the other and have never had a problem. Also two 150Gs stacked. The stand system I use is Unistrut. There is a distributor here in Winnipeg that supplies it, but I know they're all over the place. Here are some pics and a link.

BTW, I have no stock in this company:) but I have Unistrut stands that are over 30 years old still doing the job.

Here's a supplier i that I found on the Internet. I don't know if it's close to where you are or not. Also, there are metal stand suppliers other than Unistrut around, I'm sure.

That is pretty close to me. Did you have yours made specifically for you? Or do they have them pre-made?

No, I put them together myself. Really easy and simple system. All you need is a 1/2" socket wrench and a little time and effort.

Did you call and ask them if they made a rack that size? I don't see anything on their site that looks like I could order and pick up. Do you remember roughly what you paid?
