I had to tanks going: 1- 55 gallon full of zebras, munbas, and mostly aggressive Africans. All by which are atleast 4-6 inches. And #2-55 gallon full of peacocks, dolphins, and well basically from the other lakes rather than Malawi. So here is the trouble, my ex just sold the 2 55s and gave me a day to come get the fish. Man what a blow with only ending it a month ago and I just got a house a couple of weeks ago. Damn right. So here it is now I have a mix of Africas in a 20 gallon and mind you its like 50 of them and I just don't know what to do. I have a empty 80 gallon but no stand or tops. And no where but the floor to put it. What should I do. All is welcomeso comment and advise on. Thanks to u all

Get some plexi from Lowes and use it for a cheap top on the 80. Set that thing up on your floor somewhere and give those fish some breathing room. If one fish dies in the 20 gallon and you aren't there to see it you will probably lose all of them. If you have a sponge filter and an air pump use that for cheap filtration. Another option if the 80 isn't enough space is to by a cheap Rubbermade tub and a heater and keep some of them in there. I hope she didn't sell all your filters and heaters, etc. Bad break man, but you still have the fish. Good luck on keeping them!

Nah she just had a frenzy with my stuff and left me with bare essentials. I have to regroup on everything but thanks for the momentum.

Can you just buy a stand and a lid for the 80 gallon since you are pressed for time?

Hey everyone believe it or not I have not lost any of my Africans but I did lose my rainbow shark. Still no funds to do anything else but I am working on it

Get they money she made off your tanks/personal stuff and go on craigslist and buy a stand for the 80 and another full 55 setup or 2 more 55gals. That would be my solution.

Otherwise I would say you would have to go with the rubbermaid idea given or find a way to buy the tanks you need for them or screw it and set the 80gal up on the floor untill you can get more tanks to house them in, otherwise you are probably going to end up with dead fish or a tank you have to do a lot of water changes on to keep up on water quality.
