Doubt about Red Texas

Hi All,

I have one doubt about red texas fish.

When will red texas shows red coloration.

By birth itself it is red coloration or after reach some size only it will shows the red color.

Only some will fade orange/red, they fade at all different sizes and some never fade, there unfaded rt's. If your looking for Quality RT's your best bet would be to try and get a batch of baby rt's from Cjbarth (Chris) and grow them out, i havn't seen any of his post's in a long time hopefully he's still on this site? He had some of the best faded and unfaded rt's and fertile males. GL

The only way to be 100% certain about an RT is buy one from a reputable source (to avoid hormones) that is already faded. Chris had some nice RT's, but the vast majority of the ones that did peel, were orange, not red. While his prices were awesome, probably not so much for the OP who lives in India.
