dovi tank mates?

hi, i was wanting to possible start a fresh water tank, i used to own salt water fish, trigger fish, anyways the lfs has some dovis and other fish there, is there any tank mates u can have for these guys??? also is there fresh water fish out there that compare to the trigger fish?? personalty wise and stuff

well with dovii, you really can't keep tank mates, there very aggresive, and will most likely kill them, and theres a few fw fish that have persoanlity of triggers, dovii is one, but you'll need large tanks, just to keep one
 
you can keep fish with the dovii in a large enough tank..... To have even more luck get the dovii and what ever you wanted with it when they are juvis then grow them together
 
Doviis are very interactive. They may be trying to attack you but still interactive. Having a pair is something to try, but make sure you get enough info on these guys, they dont stay small very long and dont play will with about anything.

Yeah my Dovii is a mean fella. Would just about kill anything I put in his tank... but definately has a great personality. They do grow fast. Its been about an inch or so a month for me. That and they are strong fish. I can hear mine headbutt the glass from the other room sometimes.
 
haha thats ok i have a 400 gallon right now, at least thats what i was told when i baught it from a freind, its a realy big tank though, and i also have a 50 gallon, and i was gonna let him grow in that, i just dont feal like setting up the 400 gallon at the moment, well thx for the relplies guys,
