i have just put a possable female jag in my large tank thinking it was a male for my aready female jag who has mated/mating and have babys with my firehead thats another story.but i think its a female not sure tottaly and my dovi faces off with him/her or displays with him/her i think it may lead some were else o no not again! lol others on here thing it a female i now have 2 female jags! any 1 seen the cross before got any pic would be great or shall i stop them and remove her.!

i think not/ sure does it matter if its male dovi /female jag or other way round ? my fire head is male and jag is female i have baby body shape of firehead mixed with pearls of jag is the pic of parent from male jag /female dovi or does it not work like that ? heres a pic

the wolf jag cross has been done before, although I have never seen an adult and have only seen the male wolf female jag combination. I currently have over 50 wolf jag fry with a male jag and female wolf. The fry are around 2 months (slightly more). Check out my thread on their progress....

yes thats right .and again i think you may be right ,it just reminded me of how my firehead and jag got to gether time will tell spose..the pic of the jag looks like a jag above i wonderd does it matter which way round the sexes are or does it not matter or who has the strongest genes in each fish shows dominace of what the babys look like,,what a question?
nice fry u have there they look more jag than dovi at mo may be and your male is jag like my firehead is male so is it possable in crosses that they tend to look abit more like the male than the female may be?
she now has a plumper belly and is showing her egg tube she is displaying to him and is ready by the looks of thing not sure if he dominating her or wants to mate with her yet ,but she wasent showing her tube a day or 2 ago hes always around her thou my other 1 has hundreds of eggs again with the firehead again both gaurding them they should hatch soon fed up of saving them now tho.would be mad to have dovi/ jag in my tank as well , i put pics on if they do..she might just lay them and he might not be really intrested. let u know!
