Dovii + 180 gallons?

Given that a 180 is 2 feet wide and 6 feet long, how long until a male Dovii outgrows the tank? Year or two?

A long time.. most people think a male could be housed in one for life.. I think they would need a 240 (8x2x2) when he reaches around 20" but it could still live in a 180 by himself.

Thanl you very much, but for life? I was under the impression that a Dovii would eventually reach a length Greater than 2 feet? Either way I'm gettin one haha!! HEEEAAAWWW! Dovii here I come haha

I'd say he's okay in a 180 up to 16". After that an 8 foot 240 would be much better. They're fast powerful swimmers and 6 feet is just too short for a large dovii.
Even my 240 started looking small once my old dovii got to 18".
