Hi, i have a dovii since he was less than a inch, but i cant tell if he is a male or female..i think is a male but not sure...i can try vet him but is a fast swimmer ... please help

If I would have to guess I would pick female just because of the very rounded anal and dorsal fin shape which is of course not a very accurate way of sexing fish.

99% sure that’s a male. The females that I’ve seen rarely have the speckles like he does. I have kept Dovii before.
Thank you, i hope is a male..i order a male and i got a red tiger montaguense from my local store..i told them the fish doesn't look like a dovii but they just talk about genes and others things.
All those speckles. I'd say a healthy looking Male. They told you the second fish was a Male dovii? Hard to believe they would argue that point when we all have access to Google images....
Thank you for you help, a male is what im looking for.......Yeah the store told me that, at least the guy on duty...i didn't argue to much cause they not really bad store i just guest the guy giving me the fish at the moment, didnt know that well lol
