Well here is my group of four I picked up back in the summer, the two males are about 6" long now and in the next week or so I'll be moving them into the 180g I have been setting up. Hopefully they will pair of and I can then find homes for the other two before any major problems start. Looks like I been lucky with a straight cut of two males two females but the smaller one of the group may tip that.

Some nice looking young Dovii, I'm surprised you have gotten away with keeping them together at that size, unless they are in a big tank already. My male was already picking off the smaller ones long before that.

I think the two large males are so focused on each other they not really bothered with the others, the two smaller ones are the bully's in the tank. The smallest will stand up to the two males and the female dosnt let any of them near her.

There is also a pair of JD's in there but at the moment the dovii's haven't bothered them so hope to get them moved before it happens

a few updated pics, its amazing how much these have changes in a couple of months and a move into the 180g. the larger male has a hump now and put on over an inch, the female is now confirmed and they have pair. the other two are going to be moving on shortly so they will have the whole tank to there selves.

they still quite shy after moving so pics are a bit rubbish. once i have remove the other two im hoping they will settle down a bit.

also i still have a pair of convicts in there, i need to remove them too but they hide in all the little hide holes in the ornaments.

Awesome! Damn never seen so many dovii in one tank. I was told not to keep more than two at the same time since they will kill each other. Just amazed how beautiful these guys are!

there is only two in there now and may be a few of their larger fry cutting around.

just after the pics a year ago i split them up but i got away with it until they paired at around 7" (male).

he is about 12-13" now i just added the light because over winter the tanks isn't lit by natural light as much. his blue really pops in the new light so will leave it in.
