As some of u may know my dovii and RQ are a a pair and have had 2 batches of fry. I have a red atabapo type 1 pike in there with them and some pleco. The dovii hates the pike and tryes to lift his cave and bite him. He darts from one side of the tank to the other and sticks his mouth in the hole when the pike lives and has scratches on my face and some cut scales cuz of it. It was bad yesterday and now he's swimming around the tank on the bottom with his find pulled in. He still brakes up food for the fry and try's to bite the pike but he never swims the way he is right now he's always middle or top. I also did a water change yesterday but nothing's wrong with my water cuz he's the only fish acting diff

Hes sitting on the bottom of the tank? Possible swim bladder issue?

I'd remove the pike. Obviously something is stressing him out. Are the babies nipping at their fins at all? I had to remove all my umbee fry recently for my male acting similar. Watched them for about a half an hour just to notice that the babies were nipping thier fins frequently and stressing the parents out

That's it then cuz I have seen them doing that to him and the RQ, the baby's attack each other also. Do I have to take them all out of should I be good with taking out like 50%

I'd move them all to thier own aquarium. Keeping the babies with the parents is a good idea and they will watch them up until they spawn again.... but cichlid babies and especially aggressive cichlid babies are *******s lol. Maybe try removing them first and see how the male acts. The pike might not even be the reason he's acting the way he is

I agree about the pike, unfortunately that may be the cause of stress which leads to other issues. I've had plenty "aggressors" end up being the ones who suffer health wise.
Few questions:
1. Is is poop normal?
2. Is he eating normal?
