Try more hiding spots so the fish get out of eachothers eyesight! Also 70-75° will help w/ proper diet of course! If its to bad eiher get a bigger tank or use a divider!
Very nice size. Reminds me of the Dovii males I saw in Chattanooga aquarium a few years ago.
He makes the tank look small.
How much time did it take for him to reach the size?
it probably has a lot to do with being a big fish from a big pond and being stuck in a small tank but then again he is a dovii and i wouldnt expect anything less from a monster male. when is he getting the 300?
That is one awesome dovii!!! He is amazing all by himself. Maybe sell the female??? He will get more aggressive once, or if they spawn..... Try turning the temp down to mid 70's to help with aggression.

I agree with this ^ I keep my dovii tank between 74-76 degrees. Anything pushing 80 and my male is on a killing streak. Lowering the temp will help curb some agression but it won't change his species. He is being exactly what he is, a dovii male.
