Until now, I fed my 1-3 in Ds salmon, shrimp and frozen worms. They seemed to be growing slowly, now I realize my backyard has more earthworms then the entire State of California, I want to know is a steady diet of earthworms(about 10-20 a day per fish) good for them and will I notice faster growth? I am also able to do more water changes, about 50% a week with about 13 gallons changed every other day for sand cleaning.

I fed my tiny jag worms and she went nuts for them. She got FAT and grew fast. To this day most of my fish go crazy for a nice fat worm.

Im feding mine the Hikari Carnivore food stix, hes about 3-4 inches and want him to pack on the weight and grow!!!

Earth worms are good to go IMO. I was feeding my Jardini Aro earthworms. Really helped boost his colors and overall health.

My Dovii grow about an inch a month with an initial diet starting at 1/2" of crushed flake moving them to brine shrimp, krill and frozen market shrimp....when they are around 3" I start them on Hikari Bio Gold as the staple and keep the krill and shrimp twice a week. The largest male seems to be slowing down around 6-7" and filling out more. I plan to also add another carnivorous pellet to vary the diet soon.
