Dovii color vs mood

So i took a couple update photos of my boy blue showing what different colors he displays depending on his mood. first is when he flares up at me, usually goes really glossy and displays a light blue



next is couple of pics is him just lounging around swimming normally, being bored almost with a dark blue color


He also gets this very metallic blue color when hes nervous or unsure



after a water change he gets all washed out scared and stressed

and last but not least after a good feeding, full and happy

there are also about 50 other different colors he goes through but i havnt quit figured out the moods for those yet lol. He has grown about an inch since my last update and is a lot thicker

Nice start. He has a ways to go yet. What is he now? 11-12"?

Regarding the color. It looks to me more like the location the pictures are taken in the tank. Any time the light above is between you and the fish, it will appear more vibrant. When the fish comes closer to the "front" glass, it will look different as it is in the shadows so to speak. That's been my experience with fish in general and several male dovii in particular. Except for my 18-19" male. He's always black and blue from smashing the glass.

ye thats true too but depending on their mood too iv found that there is a wide range of colors they go through, especially the metalic blue he only gets like that when i'm fiddling around with something around the tank
