Hi guys, I have a pair of Dovii that have just spawned again in a 6x2x2 that has been divided.
How long before the fry are free swimming because the tank has quite a stong filtration system, running and FX5 and stong internel powerhead.
I would like to take the eggs out before the hatch.

I've not bred dovii, but if they're like other Parachromis, 3-5 days from eggs to hatch and another 3-5 days from there to be free swimming.

If you remove them very small, don't use gravel in the tank you put them in. They'll get trapped in the nooks and crannies and die. Bare bottom or sand will give you the best shot at maximum survivability. They will grow much faster if left in with the parents though. My Parachromis do a pretty good job of containing and herding the fry ball once they become free swimming. I would recommend leaving them in with the parents for at least a week or two.
