A buddy of mine asked me if I could take in his Dovii about 4 inches until he upgraded to a larger tank. Before he brought it here he was saying something about it's eye being white. Now, I have it here in a quarantine tank it's eye is almost completely white and slightly bulging. I will try to get a pic of it here in a few.

Sorry, I got sidetracked. He's hiding in some plants hard to get a pick. It looks like it's getting more clear now. I will try to net him and get a pic.

This is about the best I can get. It was more solid white earlier, could it clear up that fast? Like 9 hours?

What was the water quality he came from. Did the guy do good maintenance on his tank.

Apparently not. The Dovii's eye is 99% clear now. Barely has a white-ish tint. I let him chill out, no lights on, fed him a few pellets, pristine water.
coulda got a tooth or a fin-spine rubbed across it or anything that could irritate it, take a few days, but fish heal fast, very resilient critters. generally for that type of stuff Melafix or Pimafix is what would normally be used....if it's pop-eye, not sure what to use but I think it's caused by a bacteria, not a fungus or parasite

there's a theory....if it was poor water quality, breeds bacteria....could just be some random infection nothing related to anything WE think it could be. broad-spectrum antibiotics cover infections in general lol just like allergy - treat the same for Black Widow bite as hives from eating fish/fish allergy - steroids and antihistamines, Dr. gonna prescribe exact same thing for both
