Hi, was just wondering if anyone had any advice.
I put a new sump in my dovii's tank after letting it cure for 24 hours, and noticed he started hanging out at the top of the water column rapidly gilling about a week ago. I noticed the problem, shut off the sump, did a big water change, and kept doing 50 percent WCs for next 3 days with no sump running. I stripped the sump of all silicone, rebuilt it without using any sealants (wedged things into place and they are held using friction) and dosed with melafix and pimafix for 4 days now. The fin rot has "fallen off" and appears to be healing and he's doing better, however is definitely not feeling 100 percent and his eyes are still very cloudy. Cloudiness and fin rot set in 3 days after exposure to the silicone which was a week ago, and he's been dosed with meds for 4 days now. Any expectations as to when he should start feeling better or additional advice? Water Params are all great, ammonia nitrate nitrite all 0, and no presence of chlorine or anything, this was purely from the silicone.
