My breeding pair of Dovii have had babies again :headbang2 and I want to ensure their survival. I was wondering what you guys think the best way to do this is. The fry have been free swimming for about a week or two now, so should I remove the fry, remove the parents, leave them together, etc?

best to seperate if u want them to defenitly survive just rig up a plastic tub in the top of the main tank as a fry nursury that way they still be in the same water conditions

I have a 125 thats basically open at this point, should I just move the parents there? There are about 200 little fry swimming around nd I wouldnt know how to catch them.

Do you mean with holes in it? Can you explain further.. Any pics?

Any advice?

Thanks for your help! Do you think it would be easier to move the parents than the fry? The only tank that I really have open is a 125 which would be very inefficient for feeding these little guys lol. Basically my options are move the parents or just keep them together and let the parents continue to gaurd them.

I've always syphoned and moved to a small grow out tank, if you don't have one you can get a 5-10g very cheapley even if bought new I have always fed new fry brineshirmp enriched with spirulina

btw be careful when you syphone make sure the tank you are syphoning to iis at least half full, once learnt I think this is by far the best method of moving fry
