Quick question - I have a breeding pair of dovii in a 150 gallon tank at 5inches each. I have about 40 free swimming fry in the tank being guarded by the mother. My question is when should be taking out of the tank and into a tank on there own or better yet how long should they stay in with the parents.

Take them out when you notice that the parents are ignoring them or attacking them. Otherwise just leave them in there and let the pair raise them to about an inch or a little less.

Thanks for the info.

I got about 300+ 2 week old fry in a 40 gallon. I plan on leaving them in with the parents until over crowding forces me to move them.

Thats what i was exactly hoping would happen. Thanks again for the info
