      Can I still produce xantic dovii if i breed my female red dovii with a regular dovii?
      Does the regular Costa Rican Dovii have the xantic gene

      Not sure. Maybe worth a try and if it doesn't work then breeding back to one of the young could work? I think that's what Rapps was trying to do with his Xanthic Managuensis before it passed :(

      I'm going to purchase 2 Costa Rican dovii from rapps and grow them out . Hopefully it works.

      I mean if they have to peel you may be stuck with a normal looking one with red genes and if you breed a red x normal you may not see any red until you breed those back to the red just my guess or many generations down the line we just have to test it out

      Nice. Keep us updated on how it goes. Just seen you video, do you have 2 female reds? I'd keep a close eye on the male to make sure he's playing nice. I'd also recommend a divider when the time comes. Best of luck!

      They seem to be getting along well especially with my Istlanums in the tank. They are not as aggressive as the regular dovii''s
