dovii growout

Both tanks will do for the first 18 months of the doviis life as long as it is 14-15 inches when you move it. (this is extreme advice just to clarify)

the outgrow rate will be the exact same due to that the footprint of both tanks is the same- the added height of the 150 does nothing for the fish

the out grown rate depends on whatsize you got it at, i'll say if 1-2" it will out grow both tanks by 16"- but everybody's fish don't grow at the same rate so the time will mostly depend on how well it's kept- ie- feeding, filtration, water quality, and lots of WC's- i'd say most likely in the 14-19 month range if 1-2" and less and less if bought larger.

there growth slows down at 12-13" BTW, and keeps slowing progressivlly so your going to want to add in that fact...

yeah i figured the 150 wouldnt have any advantages other than much more water, which would be less water changes.

so were talkin roughly 1" per month then?

until 10"ish on average yes...

but all fish are different in general this is the rule, i've seen fish that normally grow at 1" a month slow down at 8" or in some cases 14" so it's a game of chance and how well you keep your fish...

2 years max...or once they get to big to turn around in an 18 inch wide tank.
