Dovii Growth Rate

Do they have a very fast growth rate???

I bought a 150 gallon yesterday and am planning what I will do with it. I want a wet pet but I want to make the 150 worth it, so I figured a dovii. I LPS has some babies about 1"-2". I feed all my cichlids bio-gold+.

How fast does a dovii grow to lets say 6"? I know there are a million variables involved with growth although I am just asking roughly.

depending on many different variables... i would say around 4-5 months

I've had some grow fast and some grow slow. My old female too 1.5 years to get to 7.5" but she was at 6" in 7-8 months.

My current male grew from 4.5" to 6.25" in just one month. But I'm power feeding him like crazy.

If you know what you're doing, power feed, and have the time for daily or bi daily water changes you can get em' to 5-6" in about 3 months.

Their growth rate slows down dramatically at around 8-9", and gets progressively slower from there on.

You won't see a growth spurt until they're at about 2".
