Thought I would post some pics of my dovii growth. In the first pic I had them for a around a couple months at that point. When I first got the four they were only free swimmers for a couple weeks if I had to guess. They were around 1/4"-1/2" at most. The first pics they are about 1-2" taken Dec.6-09, the second and third pics are from Jan.3-10, the 4th and 5th pics are Feb.2-10 and the last pics the male is 5" give or take taken Feb.22-10. They are F1 Costa Rican. Give some feed back if you want.

That is a 38 gal. grow out. I am about to put the male in a 125 until he needs a larger tank. Then I will get him one suted for life.

Nice fish. Whats their diet?

Thanks, I started them out on crushed flake for a couple weeks.....then added crushed brine shrimp. Once they got some size I started feeding them bloodworms, brine shrimp, raw market shrimp and krill. I also used to feed them hikari bio gold pellets until I took out the other two males....now there to scared to come up to the top of the tank to get the pellets. I am going to try to add the pellets back in there diet soon. I power feed them for the first couple months.

Sweet, I have always thought it would be awesome to have a monster plywood tank, with a dovii cruising around in it.

I look at DiY section and think "why don't I do that".... Then I remember the birdhouse I made in boy scouts. was pretty crooked....
