I really hate this stuff. It's like finding ants in your house. Anyways, whats the safest way to get rid of it? Hes about 8in.

Increase the water temp, etc. Lots of threads on this disease and I believe that one is stickied.

Raise the temperature and and salt. Problem solved, easiest fish disease to overcome

do a 40% wc. keep temps 82-84. salt. remove carbon. treat with ich meds. wait 2 days 25% waterchange. final ich med dose. 2 days 25% wc. replace carbon. ich should be gone. you dont need the meds but it does speed up the process a ton!

waterchanges are the most important.

Just bought a bunch of silver dollars that had ich which was easily fixed with salt, temp and good water conditions. Visaul signs was gone in a few days but I think eggs last a week or two, not sure but my fish are in a growout tank so it doesnt matter for me.

its ++ temps and salt, or QuICK Cure is pretty effective.

As always sans the carbon.
