I have a baby dovii around 1-2 inches and was wandering what are some helpful tips to avoid while its young that would carry into adulthood such as only eating feeders. THX :asianarow

The best advice on feeders IMO is not to feed them. That is if you mean other fish. If you don't introduce the "kill" to them, you won't have problems of that being the only thing it is inerested in. Get it on some krill and a good pellet (i.e. New Life) or even frozen, and the occasional bloodworms. If you want to give it a treat on occasion, get some ghost shrimp. As it gets larger you may consider live worms as well to keep you entertained. Enjoy!

Get some quality cichlid pellets. Crush them up and feed. They will eventually eat it.
