Hey guys. I introduced a female to my male 3 days ago. They paired and she’s now laying. I’d say they are about 6 inches both. This is her first time laying. The male goes in and fertilises the egg and then the female is going in and eating the eggs. Why is she doing this??? Please help thanks

No experience keeping Dovii.. but I watched a video the other day! 
The guy had a lot of experience breeding them (of course I can't find it now). I think he mentioned this exact thing happening to him when the fish are young. Seeing as yours are only 6" and it's their first time, it's probably just inexperience. They'll figure it out as they get older and more practiced.

If it's the pair first time they may eat eggs from lack of experience. Hopefully the female will get better as she matures.
Man- I’ve got a pair of apistogramma trifasciata that have just spawned for there 3rd time.
First 2 spawns after 4 days the female quits the cave looking very very drAb and there are no wrigglers and no eggs.
just takes them a while to get it together sometimes when they’re young.That’s cichlids across the board.
